BPR & Associates Pty. Ltd.
Welcome to 2017

Following last year's federal election, and the subsequent passing of the Building and Construction Industry (Improving Productivity) Bill 2013, and with the Fair Work Commission's ruling on weekend penalty rates in the hospitality and retail sectors due to be handed down in the new year, industrial relations is again shaping as a key issue for employers in 2017.

Against this backdrop employers also still have to deal with enterprise agreement negotiations, implementing workplace change, performance management, compliance, workplace investigations, and general protection and unfair dismissal claims.

In the year 2015/16 the Fair Work Commission received some 14,694 unfair dismissal applications, 4,210 general protection claims, and 734 applications for orders to stop bullying. Some commentators claim that one in ten employees now experience bullying.

It is therefore essential that employers have policies, procedures, and systems in place for dealing with such matters.

Since 2011 BPR & Associates Pty Ltd has worked with our clients providing expert advice in all areas of industrial relations, including policy development and implementation, conducting workplace investigations, and representing employers, if required, before the Fair Work Commission.

Don't wait until an unfair dismissal application or other complaint is made.
